The BC Ministry of Transportation is responsible for regulating
residential driveway development on Pender Island. You will find the

Land use, planning and zoning
Land use, planning and zoning for North Pender and South Pender are
governed by Islands
Trust under two different Official Community Plans. We recommend
that you contact the appropriate planner for more information.

Power Connection
BC Hydro
is responsible for providing electricity to Pender. You can request
a new service or change your service here!

Sewage Disposal
Magic Lake Estates has a sewage plant that services approximately
550 properties but all remaining sites will require a septic system.
If you are purchasing a Magic Lake property the real estate listing
should clarify this issue or you may call your realtor.
Septic Systems
To check the suitability of your prospective property for a
septic system you will need a Perc
Test. You can find a contractor here!

Water Access
If you have a waterfront property you will need to determine it's suitablity
for water access. You can a suitable contractor in our carpenter
